我做过的一件不可思议的事情

There are so many spectacular mundane moments...

Riding a bike in northern Ghana where my friend Zuzu gets her dress caught in the bike gears and instead of helping I take a million pictures... and on the side of the road these African women sitting beneath a tree come flocking to help her and hitting me for not helping my friend haha... good day... and then later I got malaria and was hospitalized for two weeks... guess that's karma?

A friend and I intended to go scuba diving in Oman but five minutes to the border, it dawned upon him that he forgot his passport so we went scaling the wadiis in Dubai instead. Massive boulders, endless waterfalls... we ended up camping on the beach and grilled some fish over open flames.

When I used to live in Istanbul I had to go and renew my visa every three months and so I'd take the train to Bulgaria. On one of my last trips back my cabin was infiltrated by butch female Bulgarian smugglers who burst into my cabin while I was in bed, unscrewing the train wall panels and putting bags in it...

The Dead Sea. It stung. But it was amazing.
