ABOUT ME

My name is Piotr and I was born in 1988. I spent the first 19 years of my life in Lublin which is a ~360,000 city in eastern part of Poland. Between 2007 and 2010 I studied in the Warsaw School of Economics and therefore lived in the capital.

After Warsaw, I went to London to do a one-year Master's programme at the London School of Economics.

In October 2011 I moved to Brussels for an internship at the European Commission in Brussels. I had a fantastic time.

In January 2013 I came to Luxembourg to work for the European Union. Those were interesting 18 months.

In July 2014 I came back to Warsaw... And in January 2015 I returned to Luxembourg, and have been here ever since.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked from London to Lublin in July 2011 after completing my Master studies. Over 2000 kilometres, more than 30 kg of luggage, 9 cars. Amazing experience which helped me to see how diverse and interesting the world and life can be, even if they often pose so many problems.

Saw Radiohead (August 2009), Morrissey (July 2011, November 2014) and Roger Waters (August 2013) live.

Climbed some fairly high mountains, including Monte Rotondo (2622 m) in Corsica, Peleaga (2509 m) and Păpuşa (2508 m) in the Retezat and Rysy (2503 m), Świnica (2301 m), Kozi Wierch (2291 m) and Szpiglasowy Wierch (2172 m) in the Tatras.

Completed 9 out of 16 stages of GR 20 in Corsica, in addition to climbing Monte Rotondo and going down to Corte through the Tavignanu Gorge. 11 days of pure beauty...

Ran 5.37 km in exactly 20 minutes (July 2013). Next goal: 5.5 km (or dying on the treadmill...)

Ran a half-marathon in 1h 46 mins 59s (Sept 2015).

Went to Iran (Nov 2016), China (May-June 2017), Kosovo (Aug 2018), Paraguay/Argentina/Brazil/Uruguay/Chile (Dec 2018/Jan 2019). To be continued...
