Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing to engage with individuals who value culture, respect, and genuine human connection. I believe that experience remains life’s most profound teacher — each encounter offers an opportunity to grow, exchange perspectives, and strengthen mutual understanding.
To me, this platform represents far more than travel; it serves as a channel for cultural diplomacy and the cultivation of lasting, meaningful relationships. Couchsurfing embodies the spirit of collaboration and global citizenship — a community where dialogue, empathy, and shared experiences unite people beyond borders.
Through this network, I aspire to contribute to initiatives that uphold sustainable tourism, cultural appreciation, and the creative economy. These values are essential to building resilient communities and promoting a world rooted in inclusivity, integrity, and shared prosperity.

Music, Movies, and Books
I draw inspiration from stories and art that embody wisdom, grace, and humanity.
My favourite film is The King’s Speech — a moving portrayal of leadership, resilience, and quiet courage.
I deeply admire Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley, a timeless classic that captures the sincerity of emotion and the beauty of simplicity.
A book that has profoundly influenced me is The Art of Happiness by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, a remarkable reflection on compassion, mindfulness, and the pursuit of inner peace.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of my most significant achievements has been advancing Indonesia’s sustainable tourism agenda in a way that aligns with my academic background and professional expertise. Drawing on my master’s training in the UK and my entrepreneurial work in travel and export, I have helped contribute to strategies that support the nation’s growing tourism economy — where foreign tourist arrivals rose by approximately 20.17% in 2024, reaching some 12.66 million visitors compared to 2023.

What I Can Share with Hosts
As a proud representative of Indonesia’s rich heritage, I always travel with select Indonesian spices and ingredients, allowing me to share the warmth of our traditional cuisine through authentic home-cooked meals. Food, I believe, is one of the most genuine forms of diplomacy — it brings people together beyond language and culture.
If the opportunity allows, I may also present a piece of Indonesian batik, recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Each pattern carries a story, reflecting Indonesia’s history, values, and artistic identity — a meaningful token of friendship and cultural exchange.
In addition, I am passionate about digital storytelling as a modern medium of diplomacy. Equipped with a DSLR, drone, GoPro, and MacBook, I enjoy creating thoughtful social media content that highlights local traditions, landscapes, and shared intercultural experiences — promoting both global understanding and sustainable tourism.
