Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I recently moved to Europe, I am finally starting to explore all the different parts of it and meeting lot of people along the way. I am on Couchsurfing to explore a city/town better from a local's perspective and not just being touristy around the town. I wish to bond over food, drinks and chats to understand different cultures and just hear all cool stories. Unfortunately, I live in a student's apartment in Milan so I am not able to host the guests at my place but I can definitely show you around if the time permits.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have learned Indian classical music for 6 years so I love that but apart from that I really love Coldplay (cliched I know, but they're sooo good.) Other than that I have a pretty wide range for my music taste which includes some pop & R&B, some alternative, some classical new age and some hip-hop.

I am not a big movie nerd but I do love Perks of Being a Wallflower, Eternal sunshine of a spotless mind and some series like Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Office etc.

I used to read big time when I was a kid but now I read when the university gives me fewer assignments to finish. :| Although, some of my favorites include wonder by R.J. Palacio, Perks of Being a Wallflower (yes, I'm obsessed with that thing), Works of Jules Verne and Arthur Conon Doyle, Hooked by Nir Eyal etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a trek. It was my first real trek and a summit climb and even after I prepared for it, it wasn't prepared enough and exactly before a month of the trek I broke my ankle. But I did finish the whole trek lagging behind my team and also did the summit climb in Himalaya. I was so excited to reach the top that I actually finished 3rd on my group and I couldn't be more proud. It was really really difficult for me but now that I think about it, I feel confident that I can do anything that I set my mind to if I could finish that trek 3rd after just recovering from an ankle plaster.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can offer to exchange languages and some good recipes. I can suggest some nice books and movies and series and stand-up comedy specials and all that fun stuff. I also wish to listen to all the stories you might have and all your cool experiences and learn about different cultures and people from them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Unfortunately, I cannot host anyone since I am not allowed to in my student's apartment but if you're coming to Milan and need someone to show you around I can definitely be there if my university is not keeping me up at college with all assignments and projects. I would take you to some great cozy cafes and really amazing Pizza places around Milan.
