ABOUT ME
I am an online advertising business development professional, internet music radio DJ, music aficionado and travel junkie. I moved to New York after graduating from business school in the Chicago area and have now lived here for a little over a decade.
PHILOSOPHY
Youth is a privilege and it must be lived to the fullest. Losing the prime of youth in "square peg round hole" situations is a no-win situation for all people concerned and is absolutely inexcusable.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted several people at my home in Boston (where I lived a lifetime ago) and in New York City (although less frequently here since I am a lot more time-constrained now than I have been in the past) but for some odd reason, have only been a guest once (I don't know why -especially since I had an AMAZING experience as a guest!). I used to attend the weekly meetups for the vibrant Boston Couchsurfing community every alternate week while I lived there. I used to organize weekly pub crawls for international travelers and couchsurfers. I have also organized activities for couchsurfers while traveling overseas (back when city message boards were buzzing with activity).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has been a trip of its own. My impression of the underlying concept behind couchsurfing has been moulded by my wonderful experiences with guests and the incredibly warm couchsurfing communities of Boston and Buenos Aires. I cannot fathom why anyone would choose NOT to be a part of something wonderful like this. In addition to being the best-kept secret in the travel community, it has redefined my idea of what community truly means. It has also been an amazing platform for me to forge a diverse array of strong friendships in my adolescence in a way that no typical working professional can.
