Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Before coming to Europe, I spent 2 months in a small coastal village where I taught 9/10 year olds Math and History. It was a life changing experience. I didn’t have a fixed place to live. One of the students used to host me every night. Simple food, small bed, but so much love! I realised there’s so much love to give and receive, only if we dare to look out of our comfort zones! Cs has been exactly that.

I’ve only used this app a few times so far, but each experience has been unforgettable. The best part is that none of them were heavily planned, they just happened, and somehow turned out even better than I could’ve imagined. I’m definitely hoping to keep that streak going.

I believe traveling is more than just sightseeing. You can’t really get to know a place until you’ve spent time with someone who calls it home.
