I am an avid reader and traveler. I'm originally from India, but I've stayed in the US for more than 7 years. I came to the US for grad school, and then have been working here after graduating. I've traveled to more than 30 states here, as well as Puerto Rico, parts of the Caribbean and to a few places in Europe as well. I aspire to travel a whole lot more, and would love to travel all over the world and know different people and cultures, and learn from them.

I love this site because it allows me to have an insider's perspective on the places I visit, and I get to connect with locals on a more personal level, which is always more fun compared to living in hotels. While I'm traveling, I make it a point to treat other peoples' homes and property as I'd like my own to be treated, i.e. with care and respect. I try to leave the place as close to the original state I found it in when I first stepped into the host's house, and I am respectful of the host's house rules and privacy. I expect the same thing in return, and am always up for a chat if the host is open to one, and I always believe that communication and mutual understanding always make one's travel experiences infinitely better.

All in all, I truly believe in the motto of "Live and let live" and seek to learn by interacting with a variety of people, from a variety of places, and this is my chance to do a bit of that. Cheers!
