Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined this website when I was looking for a place to stay, and I discovered that it is a great way to connect with people and help them. I want to travel to many countries and experience them from the local perspective, as well as host people and show them around Amsterdam, which I am still exploring. I would love to help as many people as I can, but Amsterdam is very popular and I get a lot of requests every day. Please don’t take it personally or feel ignored if I say no. I wish I could host everyone, but I can’t!

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a variety of music genres, from electronic music to rock, but I have a special fondness for psychedelic trances influenced by the goa culture. Some of my favorite artists are Bob Dylan, The Beatles, and Men I Trust. If you are familiar with Men I Trust and share their vibe, I would love to host you and have some fun together.

I am a big fan of Netflix TV shows, especially the ones with complex and sarcastic characters. Bojack Horseman is my all-time favorite, followed by Rick and Morty. I also liked Brooklyn Nine Nine, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Norsemen, and Skins. I am always looking for new recommendations, so feel free to suggest any good shows you know. I prefer TV shows over movies, as they have more depth and development.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am happy to offer you my cooking skills, whether you are feeling lazy or adventurous. I like to experiment with different recipes and flavors, and most of the time they turn out to be tasty.

I have some basic knowledge of guitar and ukulele, but I am eager to improve. If you can teach me anything, I would appreciate it. I am also interested in learning how to play the harmonica, so if you have any tips or tricks, please share them with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a pretty good cook (or so I’ve been told) and I also have some very amusing stories. I can teach you a lot about Indian culture/food and also if you happen to be curious, I know a lot about maths, which I can share with you too. If you have any specific requests, I can bring you some nice gift from the Netherlands or India, like a postcard or something more symbolic, so you can keep a nice souvenir of me forever ;3. Just ask, and I will tell you anything you want to know about me.
