Self contained since my wife died in 1993 and the last child graduated. I quit, sold the business and started going to school and traveling. Prescott is my headquarters, but I'm gone quite a bit.

I like people. I love characters.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie as of 11/11/11. In 2002, I rode my motorcycle from Arizona and up into British Columbia. I was gone 71 days and stayed with friends and relatives 48 of those days. I like to do a project with my hosts and have put a roof on a garage in Portland, built a dock in Virginia, and dug a pond in Bristol, GB, and many others. Seems I get along better with busy hands.

Centres d'intérêt

Sculpture, stone and cement mainly, human forms, life size. Exterior tile mosaics on a wall or fence. I’m more of a technician than an artist. During Covid lockdown, I built a stone wall 80 feet in length with a bench and stairs. I normally put 10 to 15 thousand miles a year on a motorcycle, camping and staying with friends and relatives. My current sport is pickleball. I read a bunch, too. And now quilting starting in 2022.

Willie’s Roadhouse on XM seems to stay on all day. Indie film festivals are good as are Blue Grass and Blues Festivals.

Roofing, floor tiling, toilet repair, too many years of doing it myself. Sculpting with cement is also great fun. I recently started making lap quilts and giving them to the local retirement home.
