I consider my life a net of rhizomes spinning between people, places, ideas, books, conversations, images, movies, food, friends, and family. These rhizomes create what I call "home."

I dig photography and film, and really like editing. Motivating myself to work is hard when I don't have a good social-balance - I need people to bounce my ideas and thoughts off with (is that grammatically correct? I kinda don't care), otherwise I transform into a goat staring at a wall. Itʻs true.

I like the outdoors, snowboarding is WAY up there; climbing, hiking, biking, swimming in the ocean, snorkeling, running, yoga, jumping from waterfalls, and waterfalls, and waterfalls. And indoor Volleyball - played it almost 2/3 of my life. Wow, that's kinda long.

I love food, especially experimentally prepared, and after being forcibly raised with organic food I rediscovered its quality. My bigger passion though is baking. And my specialty: Tiramisu with fruits.

I am always up for old, cozy, small and big, smelly cinemas, low-budget movies and some high-budget ones.

Museums, art galleries, individually designed small shops that make you feel like you always enter a different world. Live music shows, they are the heart beat of life. And then there are places like Kauaʻi, I feel very fortunate to be here at this point in time - things are changing, people are what is often called "waking up" and start to see the qualities of permaculture.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Iʻd like to get more active on CS again after I had had kind of a long break. So, I am happy to meet people, go for hikes, a beer, fooding, show people what I know about Vancouver, and learn more through your explorations!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couchsurfing six years ago and ever since it has enriched my life with wonderful people and their even more wonderful stories. I love, love listening and sharing stories, perspectives, ideas, values. And chocolate.

兴趣

Risk, blue-green, walking aimlessly through cities, villages, Hawaii, learning (from kids), coffeee, exploring foreign supermarkets, organic food stores, going for a good dance and good live music and not caring about the amount of sweat I lose, trying to decode foreign menus in restaurants ( tip: www.engrish.com ), apricot dumpling icecream you can only get at my childhood-icecream-salon in Vienna, purple sweet potatoes, mochi icecream, foreign metroplans and bus stop instructions, foreign TV channels (except for US-American news channels, thatʻs pure torture), waiting for sunrises (and sunsets), the smell of rain, spring, fall.. watching the stars at night at a lake in Carinthia, bathing in freshly dried clothes, Bikram yoga, jogging to Jimmy Cliff

For the longest time, every year having gone on a summercamp and be a kid, with kids, there's truly nothing more you need to have a two-week-long blast.

Moved to Vancouver, which turned out to be a bigger step than anticipated - a good one.
