I want to authentically experience and explore the place I am visiting – couchsurfing provides the perfect opportunity to do this. By staying with locals I can go to the places they enjoy, instead of only seeing the popular tourist destinations. It will also give me the opportunity to get direct exposure to the culture of the locals, and teach my hosts about my own country and culture. Lastly, I think it will provide a social dynamic to my trip, which will compensate for travelling alone.
