ABOUT ME

I like little things. I like exploring. I'm quite chaotic. And curious. I'm interested in stories, in flavours, in memories and voices, in empty places. I want to eat long long suppers, drink wine, coffee, adventure, record, chatter. I can be excitable and positive but I'm not a morning person. At the moment I'm doing a PhD about memory, food and place, in Bristol and the Venetian lagoon... and then, well then I think we're going to try to take care of a little piece of earth in Catalunya.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Trust. I think I joined couch surfing in 2003 -- it was before 'the crash', then I re-discovered it when it popped back up. Over the years I've shared many bottles of wine & nights of stories; food & space, as a host, a guest and a friend.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Like everybody here, I have couch surfed without a website, but couchsurfing.com has taken me to Italy, Sicily, France, Spain, Portugal, Argentina and around home in the British Isles...

couch surfing --when sometimes what started as an internet page results in long friendships. (perhaps this doesn't seem as novel these days but I still think it holds true)

I love cooking together, working together, drinking together. I think I'm a jack of all trades and a master of none, but I will answer any question with care.

I hope I'm open enough to learn anything and everything you may be able to teach me. I'd like to learn things I haven't even thought of yet.

I'd love to speak Catalan -- I'm right at the beginning - any help gratefully received!
