Hi! My name is Priya and I am 24 years old. I have just finished a master in "Writing, Editing and Mediating" and I am about to start my own company offering proofreading and editing services. I am a fun, outgoing and chatty person who enjoys meeting new people and discovering different cultures. I am born and raised in London, have India roots and I currently live in Groningen with my boyfriend and two pet hamsters.

Because it is a great way to meet new people and explore new cities from a more local perspective. When I first moved to the Netherlands in 2012 from London to become an aupair, I was really interested in finding out about a culture which back then, I must admit, I knew little of. During my aupair year I met some other aupairs and they introduced me to the concept of couchsurfing. As an aupair I lived in Lemmer which was a very small village in Friesland. I loved how tranquil and calm the village was but I was also interested in exploring the bigger cities to get a more rounded view of the Netherlands. With my aupair friends we travelled to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Groningen twice. After meeting fantastic, generous and open people it also led to me eventually staying in the Netherlands and studying in Groningen.
