About Me
Namaste !
I'm Priyanshu Kaushal from Himachal Pradesh, an adventurer and a traveler with passion of art. So far, I’ve climbed several peaks in Himachal and Ladakh, completed a full road trip across Ladakh and Zanskar, and traveled through 18 states of India.
Beyond mountaineering, I love exploring new cultures, having deep conversations, and trying every cuisine I come across.
Whether it's hiking, camping in the jungles, or sharing travel stories over a cup of chai, I enjoy every bit of the journey.
Travel is my therapy, I feel most alive when I’m on the road, meeting new people, learning their stories, and seeing the world through different eyes.
Also being a young traveller (22 years old), I really try to learn from other travellers who are experienced and have stories to tell and teach.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couchsurfing to meet people who truly live travel...not just tick off destinations, but experience them.
So far, my experiences on couchsurfing have been incredible and inspiring.
Hosting: I’ve hosted a few travelers, and each one has taught me something new about travel, life, and the little sparks that make every journey memorable. Hosting makes me feel ready to welcome new people and learn their stories.
Surfing: I’ve stayed with amazing hosts who felt like family. Sharing stories, meals, and space with them created some of my most unforgettable memories. In Kerala, my host took me to local festivals, sea swimming, and backwater fishing. In Indore, I got to taste so many unique dishes in Chappan. In Jaipur, I connected with a host passionate about plants and volunteering and many more other cool experiences are there from Nashik and Leh. These experiences are exactly why I love Couchsurfing.
Meetups: I’ve hosted two events at my place - a karaoke night and a monthly meetup, which went wonderfully and helped me make friends from diverse backgrounds. I’ve also attended meetups like Mindful Conversations, board game nights, and other monthly gatherings, each one adding new perspectives and friendships.
Couchsurfing, for me, is all about connecting, sharing, and celebrating the human side of travel.
Human side of travel ? ... I'll explain you when we'll meet.
