About Me

CURRENT MISSION

visit Denmark, Sweden or Norway

ABOUT ME

I'm a student (I study Physics at the University of Florence), i live in Florence with other students. I love travelling, going out with friends, having fun and reading.
I like almost every kind of music (from pop to death metal XD ) except for rap :D
I'm atheist (but i've got many religious friends and i think that there's nothing better than a respectful debate - and i mean respect for people not for beliefs XD), left handed (WOW! O.O"), open-minded, addicted to nerdy stuff and very progressivist :)

PHILOSOPHY

"L'Amour pour principe et l'Ordre pour base; le Progrès pour but" [Auguste Comte]

"It does not do harm to the mystery to know a little more about it. For far more marvelous is the truth than any artists of the past imagined it. Why do the poets of the present not speak of it? What men are poets who can speak of Jupiter if he were a man, but if he is an immense spinning sphere of methane and ammonia must be silent?" [Richard Feynman]

In my life there's only one rule: EVERYTHING CHANGES . I try to apply this rule to everything, from daily issues to political views...
The most important thing about me is that I don't have old and dusty ethics, I try to judge things with critical thought and scientific reasoning and that makes my mind change everyday! Every single experience changes my opinions and my values and that's (i think) the most beautiful aspect of life. My advice is: Keep changing, evolving, discovering, discussing, destroying superstitions and ignorance and most of all refuse dogmas in every form. Once you've done that, you will have made the difference.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm sorry but i can't always host people since I live with other students and I have to ask them beforehand, plus I come back to my home village during holidays (Christmas, Summer etc...) but I'd love to host you if everything goes well! If I won't be able to host you I'd love to show you around or just have a beer and talk :) I'm not actually from Florence and i'm not really into art stuff so don't expect me to know everything about monuments here ahah :D I'll do better with nightlife and alcohol ;)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted only once but it was awesome! :D

Interests

My main interest is understanding how things work, and with "things" I mean objects, devices, people, society, universe etc... so I'm fascinated by everything has a complex and/or curious working.
I used to play drums and then I tried the bass guitar but now, after many years, I barely remember how to keep up the sticks ;) (notice that I wasn't even good at playing :D )

I love hanging out with friends whatever we do and wherever we go, I don't like very much to stay at home... :D

Have you noticed? I have a weird addiction to emoticons ! A sentence with no smiles is a very sad one!!! XD

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hmmm once, while I was waiting for my ship (it was in delay), i accidentally fell asleep with my friends in a port (Greece) in the very middle of the way!! We slept for 3 hours and magically nobody stole our bags! :D

Seriously speaking... i'm not really attracted to monuments and places... i'm attracted to people and atmospheres :) I think you could have been everywhere and you could have done everything, but it is worthless unless you can't share those things with your friends... nobody can live without a good friend :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some basic Math, Physics or Computer Programming (not that someone would be interested ahahah :D ), I can also teach how to make smoke circles (UNBELIEVEBLE!!! O.O" ) but sadly, even though i'm italian, i can't teach you how to cook because I literally suck at it XD

I would like to learn ANYTHING. :)
