About Me
I grew up and worked in Rural Australia until 2010 when I moved to Brisbane city to begin studying Electrical Engineering. When I was young I traveled Australia a lot but it was only after beginning my bachelor and studying and working with international students that I felt I wanted to travel the world. It is hard to save money for this kind of travel as a student, so most of my travels have been studying abroad, volunteering internships and working internships. Right now I'm living in Villach, Austria while I complete a year and a half long internship.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have always liked to keep moving around and meeting new people. I have found I have a knack for getting along with people soon after meeting. Getting to know new people has become my favourite part of travelling abroad.Couchsurfing is a great way to do this as it give both the host and guest a better chance of getting to know one another. There isn't much etter than knowing you have a network of friends around the world.
Also, its a great feeling to help someone with a place to sleep when they are in a bind.
Interests
To couple my engineering background I have always liked to keep creative; Drawing, painting or writing are things I enjoy in my spare time. I love to read and have a keen interest in all types of movies. I just really love a good story.
I love to keep social as well. Great conversation is what interests me most and as long as I am around good friends, I don't mind what I'm doing. Being outdoors and with nature is a massive plus. The beach is always great, as is hiking up a mountain or through the bush to find a waterfall to swim in.

Music, Movies, and Books
I find music that I will listen to will depend on my mood and the energy that is needed at that point. I'm pretty eclectic in my taste, listening to anything from Electro Swing to Alternative, Rock to Trance, Hip hop to House and everything in between.
As I mentioned earlier, I've a keen interest in all types of movies. My favourites can be pretty weird, as an example my all time favourite movie for the last few years has been a black and white film from the 50/60s called Harvey. Look it up, its amazing ;)
I love to read, and I will pretty much read anything anyone recommends me to read as I find seeking out good books to be a bit of an overwhelming endevour. At the moment I'm going through a bit of a sci fi/fantasy phase and I am currently reading Stephen Kings Dark Tower series. :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Although it was only for 6 weeks, I would say my stint at volunteering in Ukraine teaching kids was one of the most amazing things I've done. Not only was teaching kids about my culture fun as hell, it gave me skills that I still use throughout my degree. the experience has stuck with me so much, that I am still looking forward to the time I will have a chance to volunteer and teach overseas again.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I don't have much with me when I travel, but I always make sure I bring good conversation, a great attitude and a smile.
