ABOUT ME

I just turned thirty and trying to figure out the next thirty :)
I grew up with bread and culture: to me that encompasses both cinema, music, literature as well as science, technology and all the wonderful ways in which the human spirit has been able to express itself in these past two thousand years.
I appreciate quality over all else, and have little patience with mediocrity and intellectual laziness (no problem with the fisic one, although I try to keep in shape...).
I am a self employed digital artist, photographer and financial advisor. I write as a hobby (no real money to be done here :) but money isn't everything or so I hear).
I am travelling a lot trying to find the perfect place for me to live: London might be a good candidate, bad food and terrible climate aside :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

One friend of mine was inscribed to this site, so I checked it out. Seems like a wonderful idea, to get to know people from other countries and also visit foreign places with a local 'guide' which, I guess, is much better than doing it alone (I always have trouble finding friends to come with me on my trips, due in part to the fact that I'm not employed so I can travel whenever I want).

I have more than a hundred DVDs and Blurays from almost every decade and every genre, it's hard to extract a few titles. Stanley Kubrick is my favorite director but there are at least a dozen others that I worship (although lately they have produced something closely resembling shit...), among which Fellini and Moretti (just to remember where I'm from :) )
Music, same story. Grew up with classical music, still is my first choice and my first love, but I do appreciate all kinds of popular music (I don't listen to things like techno, trash or metal though...).
My favorite book has got to be The lord of the rings, I think it's the only book that I would define 'an experience' more than just a book. I occasionally re-read it. I love Asimov, King, Irving, Steinbeck and a bunch of other authors as well.
