I like to share good food, good laughs and good times. I'm open to new knowledge and new experiences! I like hearing tales, either real or fictitious, and am on a quest to start having some adventures of my own to share with others.

PHILOSOPHY

I guess I am kind of an epicurean in the modern meaning of the word. I live for the daily pleasures and the pursuit of happiness, though never at the sacrifice of knowledge, freedom and the joy of living a meaningful life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new on Couch Surfing and am looking to host travelers in order to see how well I like it, as I am planning a trip to Europe next summer and would like to know if I want to use CS as a tool to find lodging and, perhaps, friends in the old continent!

Interests

I like SCIENCE. I'm kind of a geek. I love music too, I play the piano a bit and would love to jam with you if you have your own instruments. I like to cook and learn new recipes and techniques. I like discussing just about anything!

Music, Movies, and Books

I am eclectic in my music tastes. It is simpler to list what I do not like : Most rap / hip-hop, house music and other club music similar to this, and dumb pop (I'm sure you know what kind of pop I mean! There is awesome pop music out there.)
My usual go-to are Tom Waits, Nick Cave, classical music (anything before Alban Berg is usually sweet sounding to me, after that it depends!), Jazz : mostly Swing, Be-Bop, hard bop, fusion ( the Duke, Gillespie, Horace Silver, Zawinul), folk music... Seriously I like many things and am looking forward new musical experiences!

I don't watch many movies anymore. I usually watch comedies because when I watch movie it's to lighten my mood. I do love musicals though, and happy stories. TV shows too much drama nowadays.

I like interesting and deep comic books, it's a new passion I haven't had much time to put much time into though. I read slowly so I don't read a lot of books in a year. I like to take my time with them. Currently reading 99 Francs and moving to H2G2 after that!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've spent two months in Japan that made me realize I wanted to learn more about the world and travel more. I am preparing to do more traveling soon and would like to know if my social and adaptations skill are ready for that!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't have much knowledge I feel so confident in that I would be saying I can teach just anyone. I can teach you some piano if you're a beginner, a lot about music theory, some about physics too. I hope to find my strengths and weaknesses through meeting travelers!
