Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had plenty of couch-surfing experiences in the states (Comedians don't always get offered accommodations when they go to a city to perform, so I can't say how many times a friend knew someone who was willing to put me up for a night, and made traveling happen), but thus far I'd say my one experience with a couch-surfing.org member has been the most entertaining.

A friend who was on this site setup the stay, and we had a great time meeting a Londoner who worked and played hard. An incredibly nice guy, he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable, to give us directions, advice, and even to have drinks at his favorite spot. Opened my eyes to how much more you can experience when you get to meet a local, and exactly how inviting and friendly this community is.
