I try to listen to my body and follow my heart as much as possible. I try to keep my mind calm and not let it get caught up in day to day annoyances. I think that appreciating the little things or moments is what makes life enjoyable.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had the amazing opportunity of surfing in Mexico. I am looking forward to hosting and surfing more as soon as I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had a really great time meeting new people in Mexico. We always ate together, either by cooking for each other or going out to eat. Sharing stories, finding out our similarities, and learning new ideas from them made it my favorite part of the trip.

Interests

I think I have too many interests.

I love traveling and breathing in new cultures and seeing it how it affects my insides.

I try and make Yoga and Meditation apart of my daily life. I'm really into mindfulness and doing things that feel good.

I love to cook vegan food. I love traveling and learning how to cook local food or attempting to veganize local food. I especially love to cook Thai and Indian food.

I'm slowly getting more into Photography. Since I've been traveling a lot, I've had the opportunity to use my camera more. I've read a few blogs and taken a course but would love more tips and pointers.

I like to draw and sketch for fun. I'm not very good but if I have some free time, I like picking up some charcoal or conte and drawing something that inspires me.

I Love to READ! I stopped for a few years in college but have started again in full force.

Listening to music and watching live music are two of my favorite pastimes.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movie at the moment is Beasts of the Southern Wild. I like all kinds of movies from unheard of weird arty films to Hollywood classics to the Blockbuster romantic comedy.
Currently, I have been listening to the new Atoms for Peace album. I like a random assortment of music such as Adele, Amadou and Miriam, Otis Redding, and Parov Stellar. Anything that can get me to dance or I can belt out loud to is great also!
Recently, I have been reading classics like Madame Bovary and Brothers Karazamov; both of which I loved. I also love all the Harry Potters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I have done is a 10 day silent meditation course.

-the Great Wall of China

I hoping to see the other three (Colosseum, Christ the Redeemer, and Machu Picchu) before I am 25.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a certified yoga instructor so I can give you yoga lessons!
I've also spent a year in a rural Thai village and learned how to cook vegan Thai food which I will happily pass on to those who want to learn.
