ABOUT ME

These sections are awkward...I am a 24 year old free-spirit. I am generally a happy, emotional,yet rational person. I love free, wacky, fun expression; anything a little different or original. I think art (in any form) is one of the many dynamic ways of connecting with the divine. I am a HUGE believer in shared energy/thought/sound. I write like a maniac; I mean everything--my thoughts, quotes, lyrics, other peoples' thoughts, ideas from discussions...I feel lost if I'm not frantically trying to capture it all down on paper. I believe in experiencing this world with every sense. I want to taste the sweet and salty, the foods of your land and mine; smell the garlic, the fresh-cut grass, the Autumn campfire; I want to feel your friendly embrace, feel the sun on my face, the wind whipping my hair; I want to see the vibrant blue of the ocean, see the joy of a mother/father watching his/her son take his first steps, see the tears of gratitude at a real show of compassion; I want to hear the frogs chirping in the Boone forests, hear perfectly delicate and powerful composition of a musical mastermind, hear the heartfelt words "I love you." I love conversation, questions, healthy disagreement, exploration, and "AHA!" moments. I love blasting music in my car, windows rolled down, screaming from the pit of my soul! I love my family. My mom, sister, and dad. They are my inspiration, my support, and are cooky as anything!

I'm all about some strong feminine energy and empowerment--As Bobby Long says, "I love fostering inspiration." The Weepies sing to my soul. I'm open to learn and grow at any opportunity. I want to get my hands dirty. I'll dance anywhere if the beats right. Oh, above all, I love tolaugh. Love. To. Laugh.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to this, so I'm not sure what exactly the level of my participation will be. I would love to host other surfers at some point. Currently I am exploring options for my future; this includes finding a place to live. Once I am settled, I will gladly open my doors to other ramblin' wanderers!

Love them! I most recently read The Book Thief by Markus Zusak--hands down among the top three best books I have read. I have never, in any other book or movie, been so invested in characters and their relationships (other than Harry Potter, of course). Everyone must read this book! A Love Song of the Universe was also an interesting, thought-provoking book.

Movies ~~ If you haven't seen A Love Song Bobby Long, do. It's not a sappy chick flick love story as the title would suggest; it's theme has depth. Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood; Look Who's Talking is a classic;
