I am a 22 year old Indian guy majoring in Mathematics and Scientific Computing from IIT Kanpur, India. I like to travel, hike, play soccer, watch tv series and research on machine learning :p .
I explored Zurich, Brussels, Munich, Paris, Strasbourg, Aachen, Bern, Amsterdam, Milan, Rome in Europe.
Other than Europe, I was in Vancouver for the summers of 2014. During my stay there I travelled to Banf, Whistler and Victoria. I like to go on treks, I have been on a 8 day trek to Langtang, Nepal where the maximum altitude was 4600m.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is an incredible concept where one can meet people from different parts of the world and share their experiences with others.
During my past travels, I have noticed people are really curious about India and I like to share my experiences about the country :)

Interests

I like playing and watching soccer a lot. My favourite team is Manchester United.
Other than that, I enjoy a wide range of sports such as Cricket, Tennis, Formula 1.
Academically, I am interested in Statistics and Machine Learning.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't listen to a lot of music. My playlist is confined to beatles and coldplay.
In the movies sector, my favourite ones would be, Shawshank Redemption, 12 angry men, Batman Trilogy, Birdman, Gone Girl, A beautiful mind, Inception, Interstellar and few more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It would be my trek into the Himalayas. We went through a lot of training to prepare ourselves, carried a lot of luggage on our shoulders, prepared our own food in the mountains, slept in tents, went through rather tough conditions, prepared utensils with sticks and made a stove with wood fire. It was very new for me and an experience of a lifetime :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: Well, I can teach a few dishes from India (though I am not a very good cook), bring some Indian food.

Learn: About the native culture, any skill... I am open to anything
