***moving to London this month so won’t be able to host anyone until next year***
Hello! My name is Victoria and I'm originally from Argentina but I lived half of my life in England. I have also lived a year in France/Switzerland and am currently in Barcelona. Having lived in different places, I am very open minded and eager to learn about new cultures.
I work as a photography assistant here in Barcelona, and when I'm not behind a camera I like going on long cycles by the seaside or on walks to the mountain, luckily I live right next to Montjuic so I get to do this almost daily.
I am a vegetarian but I don't mind when people eat meat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I believe that you really only get to know a place once you settle in and get to know the culture, that's why I love Couchsurfing because it lets me do just that. By sharing our cultures we get to pick out all the positive bits about each one and enrich our lifestyle.
You'll rarely find me with less that two cameras in my bag, I like photographing ordinary things that although most of the times we don't notice them, life would be completely different without them.
Music, Movies, and Books
Well, for music pretty much anything and everything from the 60s and 50s. Favourite band will always be The Beatles. I also love jazz and bossa nova - Chet Baker, Diana Krall and Stan Getz are amongst my favourites. And from more modern times, music like Bonobo, James Blake and Evenings.
Movie-wise, Requiem for a dream is one of my faves. Also, Richard Linklater's films. The Star Wars saga. Monsters Inc, 101 Dalmatians and most Pixar/Disney films.
And books, mostly I tend to read novels. 1984, Great Expectations and The Picture of Dorian Gray are some of the ones that come to mind. I also love existentialist Kafka and Sartre. And amongst Spanish writers, my favourites are Borges and Galeano.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the favourite things is packing everything and jetting off to live in a new country, with all the expectations, fears and adrenaline that comes with it. And talking about adrenaline, jumping out of plane is also one of the best things I've done. And can't wait to do it again.
