I'm a passionate, creative, friendly, and warm person who loves travelling, photography, learning, languages, and chatting with random cats in the street. I love to study, discover the world, eat and cook amazing vegan food, have adventures, explore abandoned places, make crafts, do genealogy, and be inspired.

I'm driven by social justice; a lover of deep conversations over small talk; and a happily married introvert who is not a fan of partying, bars, clubs, drinking, etc. Cosy comfort always wins for me! I'm also an animal adorer, and love all dogs or cats like they are my own :-)

I'm currently travelling through Central Asia (Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan), the Caucasus (Georgia and Armenia), and Europe (Romania and Denmark) for 4 months. I have my accommodation sorted, but would love to meet up with folks along the way.

My favourite thing about Couchsurfing (which I've been doing for nearly 15 years!) is meeting kindred spirits and connecting with people from all over the world. One of my closest friends is from CS, so this community holds a very special place in my heart.

I've spent the last few years learning Spanish, which is my third language—and my first as an adult learner!—so am currently very excited about the power of languages to build connections. I hope to learn at least two more (I particularly love languages that are spoken in many countries, as they allow connections across the world) in my lifetime.

I love to couchsurf as it allows me to connect with people and places in a meaningful way and opens me up to new experiences. Meeting couchsurfers means I get to make wonderful new friends whilst doing so! One of my closest friends in the world is from couchsurfing, and I love that I have a connection that lasted far longer than the time I surfed with them.

Movies: I love movies that make me feel things and inspire me, including Life Is Beautiful, Life As A House, and Without a Paddle.

Books: some of my favourite books are from my childhood, including The Secret Garden, Anne of Green Gables, and Heidi. As an adult, I've loved Tales of a Female Nomad and The Signature of All Things.

TV: I'm a series addict! I love Derry Girls, Sense 8, Orphan Black, Orange is the New Black, One Day at a Time, X Files, Big Bang Theory, Gilmore Girls, Hart of Dixie, Scrubs, Kim's Convenience, Acapulco, and lots more.

Music: I generally enjoy anything, but am particularly into pop, folk, and indie.

Lived in the Amazon jungle for 3 months, walked 200km of the Camino de Santiago, climbed a glacier in Iceland, raised a baby kangaroo, travelled through over 50 countries... life has spoiled me :-)
