ABOUT ME

A Finnish citizen, born in Jyvaskyla in central Finland 33 years ago. In Jyvaskyla I lived for too long and maybe that's why the last years I have tried to get out of there. However, here I am. Life is funny sometimes.

I have always liked traveling, but started it "for real" in 2006, when I moved to Tver (Russia) to study. My couchsurfing career I started in Mexico in 2009, and continued in Finland and later in Russia. I moved to Moscow in 2011, and lived there for four amazing years. Everywhere I have been, Couchsurfing has been an essential part of my social life (read: parties:) from the beginning.

At the moment I teach Russian, music and Spanish in elementary schools in Jyväskylä. I also do theatre performances, children's concerts, drama workshops etc, and play the trumpet and some piano. I enjoy dancing, skating, cycling, drinking coffee and sitting in pubs.

The pride and joy of my days is called Martta - a tiny cute poop machine chihuahua that I got in 2017. I usually travel with her, and hope to see a lot of doggy friendly cities in the future!

I like simple things in my life. Hot water in shower is nice, being healthy is even more cool and having a friend to hug is perfect! Sleeping and eating are probably the next best things I can imagine, and coffee is something I can´t live without.

So far I have participated mostly surfing. In addition, CS has been an essential part of my social life where ever I have lived or traveled in.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have made mistakes and taken risks. I have been disappointed. I have spent a lot of money in no time and regretted it immediately. I have spent hours doing nothing and I have been too busy to breath. I have made bad decisions and had to take steps back. I have moved forward just to see that it wasn't worth it. I have done my best.
