About Me

CURRENT MISSION

This is going to sound boring, but my mission is to meet as many people from as many different backgrounds as possible and make some life-long friends on the way.

ABOUT ME

How can I keep this short? I am 5'11" (180cm). I am a comic book nerd, computer nerd, knitter until it hurts, and at the moment a traveler. I realized that at my age, I had experienced very little and wanted to see what else was out there.

My friends and family expected me to be on a plane back to New York in less than a week, but I'm sticking it out and learning patience and discipline while meeting some very interesting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

I realized that I spent 2 years of my life in a daze waiting for something to happen. I wasn't living, but rather existing.

Now, I live to live.

Personal Philosophy/Religion:

Treat others the way you wish to be treated. I can answer just about any debate with that phrase.

Music, Movies, and Books

O man... this box isn't big enough.
I like Japanese horror (on paper lol), so I am a fan of anything by Ryu Murukami. I'm also starting to get into reading classics. At the moment, I'm reading, What Looks Like Crazy on an Ordinary Day.
Movies...
Eternal Sunshine, Fresh, Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles (a classic!), Shinobi, Enter the Dragon, Shrek, Finding Nemo, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, A Bittersweet Life, Ninja Scroll, The Animatrix (does that count), Cowboy Bebop, Ek Hasina Thi, Dog Bite Dog. I dont have a genre. I like just about every kind of film.
Books?
Coin Locker Babies, 69 (the year, pervert lol), Catcher in the Rye, To Kill a Mockingbird, Wicked, Interpreter of Maladies, Dreaming in Cuban, Batman: The Long Halloween, Mila 18, David Mack's kabuki, Frank Miller's Sin City Series

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In my adulthood, I decided to volunteer in India without being backed by anyone but the organization, which provided me with only housing. I saved the money myself, quit my various hustles (as I wasn't officially employed at the time), and took off for a 10 week experience in a country I'd never been to where I didn't speak any of the language. I got to see some of the most amazing monuments and more than anything, I proved to myself that despite my long-time health issues and princess traits, I can and will survive any task put before me.
