Hello all the friends from Couchsufing！

I’m Qiu Pengyu (邱鹏宇), but you can call me Seraph. Born in 2004, I’m exploring the world by bike to find life’s purpose.

In 2023, during my final year of high school, I received an offer from Sydney University but fell into deep depression, questioning the meaning of existence. To seek answers, I turned to philosophy, psychology, and theology—and realized I needed to step out of the "Ivory Tower." Instead of always chasing abstract knowledge, I wanted to experience the world firsthand.

After graduation, didn’t go to University. I chose to work in my father’s factory for two years, strengthening my mind, body, and spirit. I learned so many things from those days, and became more mature. By early 2025, I felt ready for my next challenge: to explore the world with my bike.

Why by bike? Because it’s challenging—and I love challenges.

On April 27th, I left Qingdao, aiming to cross Siberia, Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and return via Pakistan. I want to see the world through my own eyes, connect with people, and prove that kindness exists everywhere.

As I have said in the beginning: know more friends around the world. I also want to make my journey more affordable. As I just a 21 years old kid, not much saving I have.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best thing I did is every single thing I am doing at this moment.

And I am very proud I that I have the courage to act different from most of the kid in my country and to face this strange world solo.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you Chinese and English if you need. I can share my way of learning languages. I can also show you how to make many Chinese food ( but that would require right ingredients). I can teach you using camera and some basic graphic design skills.
