Seeking adventure, friendship and perspective. Hoping to test my comfort level and expand my limitations. Desire to give back in some way during my travels.

ABOUT ME

Curious, generous, outgoing, impulsive, kind, messy, courteous, competitive, impatient, trustworthy, flexible and adaptable.

I am generally a positive person ready to pin my ears back and see the world's sites and meet her peoples. A jack of all trades, but a master of none I have a strong curiosity that pulls me this way and that. I love being outside, especially rolling through the landscape on a bike. Im a pretty darn good cook and an even better eater (AKA foodie) I enjoy handcrafted IPAs, Irish Whiskey, or a good glass of Pinot Noir. I love to read and usually have 2 or 3 books going at one time.

As far as what Im hoping to gain from CS, a free place to stay is my lowest priority. I am more interested in meeting people, forging friendships and gaining new insights. Deep tourism if you will.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am excited for the opportunity to meet amazing people and make unforgettable memories. I have been to a couple local CS events and upon my return plan on attending more. I am spreading the word to my friends about the awesomeness that is Couchsurfing. I tell them it is more than a free place to crash (that's what bus stations and airports are for.) It is truly Deep Tourism: Visiting another place in the world, not to experience a superficial glimpse of this monument or that but to observe and EXPERIENCE the lives and rhythms that make this place come alive.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well I hosted my first couchsurfer and it was such a positive experience: being able to help someone out, gaining new perspectives and forging new relationships. I look forward to the next surfer.

Recently had the pleasure of surfing my first couch: Thanks Gail! What a great way to meet people. Its really a privilege to share a slice of another's existence.

The most amazing backpacking trip was four days hiking around the Grand Tetons. Perfect weather, incredible alpine environment, a friend 30th birthday and outrunning a massive thunderstorm on the last day. Epic!

I can fix bicycles and build bicycle wheels. I can teach some basic self defense. I can teach you CPR and first aid. Im a pretty good cook and have a green thumb.

I would love to learn how to: ride a unicycle, blow glass, play the guitar better, learn a new recipe, tie a funky knot, speak any language better
