About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Leave people a bit happier than when I found them...

ABOUT ME

I love seeing the world, and meeting the cool people who inhabit it. I was a teacher in the states before I wandered off to South America, studied for a year in Israel, was driven (a good kind of ) crazy in India...and now I am headed back HOME (for a little while, anyway)...

PHILOSOPHY

Don't read about it, don't talk about it, don't learn it in a classroom, DO IT!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wow, it would be tough to choose my best couchsurfing experience. My boyfriend and I did a cross-country bicycle trip in 2009 and we had some AMAZING experiences then. We stayed in hyper cheap paper crete houses (that reminded me of something from Alice in Wonderland) and took a tour through Big Bend National Park with the wonderful Stan, had margaritas on Suzanne's rooftop overlooking the Texas mountain passes, and, yes, perhaps the best experience of all was when Ulf, our quirky and garrulous host in Austin, TX, arranged a little surprise for us when our tired bodies arrived at his place: full body massages! Wow, it was just what the doctor ordered. Of course I don't expect all this from you, but would be happy to extend it when I'm actually in a solid location! All in all, I've just met INCREDIBLE people couchsurfing...
