About Me

I’m an ex-art student, who want to discover the world and meet new people.
In general, I'm a quiet person, which can look a bit introverted / shy at the beginning. I'm open-minded.
I love and want to meet some new people, especially by traveling, to meet some local people (maybe you are the next ?:))

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I finished my studies last June. For 2022, I give myself the challenge to leave my comfort zone, by traveling and meeting new people. In fact, I ever dream about traveling alone, across the roads.

By traveling alone, I really want to meet some local people from every country that I visit. To share some moments, memories, and exchange about our cultures, ideas and experiences. Sharing some good moments, some evenings of deep conversations, or just having a good time by chilling and laughing. In a way, even if I travel alone, it’s a good way to NOT traveling alone by meeting people, and I’m feeling less intimidated by meeting Couchsurfers than other travelers in hostels (often too much people, you know ?). And this can be, in a way, much better to meet local people than other lost travelers haha.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love the idea of Couchsurfing. My first solo-trip (May 2022) has been composed of a lot of meeting, and of my firsts Couchsurfing experiences ever. And that was definitely amazing, that was a real pleasure to meet all of them : starting from no experiences as an introvert guy and as a newbie backpacker, and finally go back home 2 weeks later with 6 CS amazing experiences (and an other one by CS Hangouts), that was a real challenge at the beginning, but finally incredible, for real!!

After that, had some roadtrip across Canada and US during my 5-month-road-trip, where I’ve met some wonderful people, and some of them will definitely stay in my mind for a long time 🖤

I really enjoy all the possibilities, learning new things, and meeting new people. It’s definitely more interesting than sleeping in a room of 12 persons in an hostel, because you don’t really have the opportunity to meet any locals in these conditions. I definitely want to meet more people with CS.

To conclude, my goal with Couchsurfing is too to improve my English skills, to be less shy and have the possibility to discover new cultures, meet some people (you ? :p), and having some nice travel memories thanks to these meetings (and, why not have some recommendations about things to do in the cities where I go). Traveling by CS is a way to not traveling totally alone, and it’s very important for me to have the possibility to share some moments in travel with people, which is not ever possible when you travel alone. Also, Couchsurfing give more opportunity to travel ‘as a local’ and as a tourist, and that’s interesting.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m VERY eclectic as music (but I listen to a lot of Metal, rap and indie).
Here is some random bands I really like (any periods, and country) :
alt-j, Joy Division, Radiohead, Korn, Slipknot, The Call, Django Django, Eden Dillinger, Ghostemane, IC3PEAK, Cattle Decapitation, Whitechapel, Maxence, Lil Darkie, Freddie Dredd, Supertramp, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, BONES, CORPSE, $uicideboy$, Twenty One Pilots, Muse, JPEGMAFIA, Lil Nas X, The Weeknd, Deftones, Linkin Parks, System of a Down, Limp Bizkit, 347aidan, Benighted, Arctic Monkeys, David Bowie, ... Haha, too much things, and too many style of music.
Music is really important for me. Oh, and I also like to live the music in concerts, sometimes.

My favourite movie ever is Mysterious skin.
I also love Harry Potter, Parasites, Wayne's World, Get Out, Disney/Pixar movies, ...

And I’m not a big reader, I like it but I don't take enough time for that:( But I really like Patrick Sénecal and Scott Heim.
I really like the Lovecraft universe. And I like comics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- I'm pretty sure I've seen an UFO, and this memory can't go out of my memories since this moment.

- I leaved France for Canada, alone, with a Working Holiday Visa and it’s probably one of the best decisions I ever made!

- I’ve decided to leave my comfort zone, from introvert guy - with no CS/solo travel experiences and with difficulties in English - to some solo road-trip fully made of CS. That was amazing, and it can be a “basic” thing for you but I’m really proud of this because I didn’t thought I was able to do that some years ago.:)

- Road-triping 5 months across Canada and United States

- Probably my next CS experience with you!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm very curious, and I like to talk about everything.

I’d like to improve my English skills (yep, my English is a bit clumsy (especially by oral comprehension, oops! But I try to do my best to improve that, and many couchsurfers told that my English is better than I say), for my future travels.
I’m also learning tattoos, and I know how to crochet dinos or Willy’s hahaha.

Also can help with French

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd like to keep some memories of my CS experiences, by sharing good moments : have fun, have some deep and interesting conversations, share some meals/cook, walk maybe ?

I'm very curious, so I'd like to talk about different topics. If I don't have any knowledge about something, I'm still interested in learning. I'm open-minded and open to all the conversation subjects (I guess ?).
Share some basic moments which can finally become some amazing memories, sharing our ideas, and our stories. Just having a good time with new people!! And, obviously, sharing our musics. I like to associate a song with someone, and/or with a moment I lived.
