About Me
[Disclaimer: I'm not here for dating or hookups, and I'm not interested in romantic connections with men either. CS for me personally is about fellow travelers sharing experiences, exchanging advice, and making connections all over the world.]
[Unfortunately, I am unable to host at present, but would like to do so in the future.]
Hi! I am a 30-year-old accountant working at a personal injury law firm in downtown St. Louis.
Feel free to message me if you’d like recommendations on things to do or tips for staying safe in St. Louis!

Some details about me:
My Enneagram is 5w4 (tritype 549), if that means anything to you and it didn't just sound like I rattled off a string of random numbers and letters. lol
Basically, it means I live in my head, crave depth and meaning in life, and prefer peace over conflict.
I try to see everyone's side on a matter—something that helps me understand not just what you believe, but why you believe it. Even if I don't agree with you, I can respect where you're coming from if it's rooted in a genuine attempt to do what's right.
As for MBTI—after years of taking in-depth tests, I've found I identify as an INTJ who leans INTP, though my personality also incorporates strong elements from INFP and ENFP.
I think personality systems are useful because they reveal to us idealized models, suited to us, we can aspire to be. They also can teach us what makes us 'tick' and give us a language to describe patterns we’ve always felt but never articulated.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After traveling around the US on my own for a couple years, I discovered the hostel life suits me. I purchased airfare for Japan later this year and got on Hostelworld to book places to stay.
I didn't realize the app had a group chat feature where you could connect with other users who'd be traveling to the same country as you around the same time, so I joined a Japan group chat to get itinerary ideas and realized we all barely knew what we were doing! Also, I didn't like some other "features" of the app which tied your group chats to your hostel reservation.
That's when I discovered CS—which was everything I wanted Hostelworld to be and more.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have been obsessed with going to concerts recently and I am a big heavy metal fan. I believe the heavy metal community is one of the most friendly, tight-knit, and down-to-earth subcultures in all of music.
Two of the best concerts I’ve been to so far have been Iron Maiden and Devin Townsend—both artists I’m a huge fan of. If you’re open to music recommendations and haven’t explored Devin Townsend yet, I highly recommend starting with his song “Kingdom.” “Hyperdrive!” and “Deadhead” are also great tracks worth checking out.
I really like vaporwave, too. "Cherry Pepsi" by SAINT PEPSI is probably my all-time favorite vaporwave song. It is impossible to listen to this song and not be put into a good mood.
As far as books go: there are many I enjoy, but two of my favorites are "A Confederacy of Dunces" and "Les Misérables."
Additionally, I'm fascinated by the writings and ideas of Carl Jung, the Swiss psychologist!
A few of my favorite movies: Hausu (1977); Parasite (2019); The Thing (1982)
And TV shows: Monty Python's Flying Circus; Death Note; Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I recently house-sit for a representative of the United Nations who helped get a UN resolution passed earlier this year.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about these topics:
Analytical (or "Jungian") psychology, Enneagram, Myers-Briggs, Biblical history and the Bible itself (I volunteer as a teacher in this area and can teach you anything you want to know—religious dogma not included)

No drama, good conversation, travel ideas, stories about life, work, etc.
