My name is Colin and I'm a student at Berkeley. Pretty neat!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm mostly just impressed that I'm being profoundly asked "why you live your life" in this box. I suppose I have a perception of the good life, the sort of life I would be content with and enjoy, and that life includes friends, socializing, traveling, food, moving around the world some, and self-improvement. So, yeah, that's how I do.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've traveled around some parts of the world on hostels, some parts of America on the occasional floor/couch/trampoline, and lived with families in Indonesia and Germany.

Musica, film e libri

At the moment, I'm listening to a lot of Erlend Øye, Jack White, Girl Talk, and the Flaming Lips.

At the moment, I have too many textbooks that I should be reading to allow me to self-justify reading for pleasure. Which means neither gets done :)

Hmm...for movies, well, whatever is good. Can't go wrong with throwing some famous trilogy or another into the DVD player of course.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

One moment that comes to mind is sitting on the terrace of a nice restaurant overlooking the city of Semarang in Indonesia, drinking an imported beer, using their wifi, and watching the sun set over the city & water. A powerful lightning storm hits, even though it was the dry season, but it was still warm and pleasant and beautiful. After that, I probably spent the largest chunk of my weekend on that restaurant's terrace.
