ABOUT ME

I am a 25 year old college graduate with a major in Communication Studies. Music is my absolute passion. I've recorded albums with a couple different projects. My parents started a school for special needs children when I was 2. I myself worked at the school for 6 years. While working with children is not my primary goal, the job taught me invaluable lessons about understanding and patience. Now I work at a brewery, run a budding web design company, and provide consultation to a vocational farm. I also volunteer with Street Soccer USA!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to create happiness within myself and others. I very rarely become angry, and always remain calm and collected. Working with special needs children has made me a very patient person. If I'm able to spread joy through music in my lifetime I will consider myself greatly successful.

I have not yet had the chance to host anyone, but everyone who has hosted me have been fantastic and gracious. I'll do the same one day when I settle down!

Interests

In my free time I love to read, watch T.V. and movies, and most importantly play and listen to music. Some of my favorite artists are Foo Fighters, Dispatch, and Mando Diao, but I enjoy all kinds of music. I play guitar, bass, piano, drums, mandolin, harmonica, and a bit of banjo.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the ancient ruins of Tikal, Guatemala was an absolutely stunning experience. Probably the most connected to the world I have ever felt. Swimming with sea turtles on Hawaii was also incredible. In 2010, I took a road trip with my cousins across the southern United States. We river rafted, ate alligator in Louisiana, and spent time in their home state of New Mexico. Some of my most exciting experiences have been making the 2 1/2 hour drive to San Francisco by myself to see some of my favorite bands perform.

After I graduated college I backpacked throughout Europe for 6 months - best experience of my life! Now I'm planning my next adventures - Mexico and New Zealand!

Teach, Learn, Share

The best resource I could offer would be teaching music. I play multiple instruments and have a broad theoretical knowledge base. I also highly enjoy football (soccer here in the U.S.) and have played for most of my life.
