About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the US, travel, learn more about myself

PHILOSOPHY

I try to see details, I'm interested in the stories of things and places that are easily overlooked.
There is this statment about writing fiction by Flannery O'Connor, that I think applies to a lot more areas of life: "Two plus two should always make more than four.", so I keep wondering and asking about things until they are more than four. So I think a lot about weird stuff and learn a lot of things.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Charlie Kaufman movies (especially "Sunshine of the spotless mind"), old science fiction movies (love "Logan's run"), "The chumscrubber", "Stranger than fiction", "Julia", "Elephant", "Brick", "Persepolis", "Into the wild", "Wristcutters", "Dancer in the dark", in general I like movies that take me to an other world and surprise me and then they don't have to be happy or end well, I'll still enjoy them..

Books: I like Jeff Noon, Matt Ruff, Aimee Bender, short stories in general, graphic novels (like Chris Ware or Seth), Walter Moers, basically I read everything except generic romantic novels

Music: a lot, bits and pieces from all kinds of genres, I prefer a somewhat meaningful songtext, unknown artists as well as well known ones...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Most recently: I touched seal rock in San Francisco
