I like to try and keep things pretty simple, I love people, I love learning what change can be and how to be a part of it. I love to laugh, I love being outside and being active.I'm easy going, outgoing and I'm usually up for anything anytime.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I absolutely love it and tell people about it all the time even though I haven’t had a ton of opportunity to use it myself. My recent trips allowed me the privilege of camping a lot and meeting people that way, but I’m a huge supporter of the CS model and community.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I took the train across Canada with my partner a few years ago, a very fun trip. We went from Halifax to Vancouver and stopped and stayed with friends, family and couch surfers for the first time, it was wonderful!

Interessen

I love being outside and being active- I love hiking, canoeing, running, chilling etc. outside. I love to read. I am passionate about creating alternative ways of living and being together in the world that challenge our racist, misogynistic, oppressive and capitalist societal norms. I also loovveee sunshine, I am like a lizard and I'm not sure how I ended up being from somewhere so cold....the more sun the happier I am. I can't get enough of the ocean, grew up near it and love it like crazy- It soothes the soul. I also love kids, I feel they are always good for some fun and some perspective on life. And I love to cook as well so if there are any hungry hosts out there I'd be happy to make a meal as my thanks!

Musik, Filme und Bücher

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is an all time favorite book- so simple and yet so relevant and meaningful! Mornings in Jenin is a beautiful read and Angela Davis is also a fav and ever relevant.

As for music I love pretty much everything and really appreciate the art of live music. My partner is a professional musician in the contemporary folk tradition so she has helped create a special place for that genre ;)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

hmmm tough question as I am very grateful for some beautiful things I have witnessed so far in my life- but having the privilege of spending a lot of my adult life hanging out with and hearing stories from my grandmother has got to be one of the most amazing things I am lucky to have.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I love learning languages, I currently speak french and have been taking spanish for a couple of years so I'm happy to share in the teaching and learning of languages. I'm also very interested in learning more- Arabic fasinates me and I'd love to learn it! I also love backpacking and outdoor excursions and love sharing and learning from each other's journeys. I've worked with non-profits and have planned a lot of events so feel free to rack my brain about event planning or volunteer management too.

I love to cook, I am learning a lot of DIY skills and can make Komboucha, soap, bread, chicken coops, raising urban chickens etc.

Anything above and I'm always happy to help out and contribute to wherever I'm staying.
