About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To feel, experience, and enjoy what life has to offer... rain or shine!
ABOUT ME
My name is Rabbiah. This is how it is pronounced: \ra-‘bē-yə\. I am on my fourth year of undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of the Philippines. Currently, I am an exchange student at Kyungpook National University and will be studying here for two semesters. Since coming to Korea, I've developed a fascination for this country, its people, and life here. I know I've only scratched the surface and so I would love to explore and dig even deeper into this culture.
PHILOSOPHY
I've always been interested in learning new things. The best way to learn is through experience and I believe that the delight of a new experience is increased ten-fold when it's shared with others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on CS so I could meet people with diverse cultural backgrounds and make friends across the globe.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Newbie.
Interests
Natural sciences but those mostly related to Biology -- this is my field, yo! I like hiking up mountains, jogging along eco-trails and snorkeling in the beaches, observing marine life.
I'm into stargazing and space exploration and would love to see an observatory one day.
I like art and photography.
I'm very interested in travel. On my bucket list: to backpack across Europe or South America before I turn 30.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: period films, drama, rom-coms, adventure
Books: I pretty much will read anything. I have yet to read a book that will make a lasting impact on me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Branch out and leave my comfort zone. This is my first time living abroad alone. I left my family, friends, and life back home to seek out and experience something thrilling and unfamiliar. Alas, it has brought me to Korea.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you a thing or two about botany, zoology, microbiology, ecology, and the like. (That is if you're interested).
I love to learn about other cultures through listening to people's firsthand accounts on how daily life is in their country and the interesting aspects of their culture.
In return, I share my own stories about my experiences in my little tropical corner of the world.
I would love to learn some words or phrases in different languages. I can teach you a few of mine as well.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can guarantee that we'll have a great time filled with nice conversations and good laughs. Plus, I generally make a polite and grateful guest.
