Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Want to travel everywhere I never could: from Japan to Belgium!!!
ABOUT ME
I have always wanted to travel around the world and was hoping that the Air Force would give me that opportunity. It didn't, so I'm doing it myself. Been traveling since September '10.
PHILOSOPHY
If your life was a movie, would anyone want to watch it?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm going to be mobile for the next 5-6 months or so so I can't offer a couch. Sorry, would if I could, this sounds like a fun and exciting way to travel and help others reach their traveling goals.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Copenhagen and Belgrade. Good experiences, but you can sometimes be a slave to your hosts schedule. Sometimes its just hit or miss and thankfully they have been hits.
Interests
Beer sampling (in fact, a lot of my travel is going to focus on going to lots of different bars/pubs). Big into exercise and Krav Maga (Israeli Self Defense method). If I could get the opportunity to study the nation's primary form of martial arts, I would for atleast a couple of weeks before moving on to the next country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seen camel spiders in Iraq. They are huge and disgusting! Visited Auschwitz in the bitter cold of December. Looked down on the city of Barcelona with a fresh cappucino. Became "the pigeon man" at the Piazzo de San Marco in Venice. Gotten myself lost heading towards my hostel in the Amalfi Coast and ended up at Almafi. Had pizza and gelatto everyday in Naples. Have been to the 200th Anniversary of Oktoberfest and stole a "mas" glass. Been chased by feral dogs in Moldova. Trained in Krav Maga in it's birthplace in Israel.
Teach, Learn, Share
Eastern Europe is the hidden gem of traveling. Krakow, Prague, Odesa (Ukraine), Warsaw, Budapest are absolute blasts, especially Poland! Beautiful people, languages and cityscapes. Some things will be just as expensive as they are back home (fast food, groceries, gas) but not too much. Once you're in EE, .5L of beer usually shouldn't cost more than $1 (American). Vodka will start turning dirt cheap. Milk bars (in Poland) are great places for cheap and delcious local flavors. Always learn the very basics (hello, goodbye, excuse me, how much, one, I want, etc.) and keep them written down. Never do any type of business with people on the streets, ever! Don't worry about being rude to peddlers, they hear the word "no" all the time. Some of the gypsies that you will see, especially in Italy, eat better than you. Keep your wallet in a pocket on your chest if available and wear a coat over it. Always ask for a price up front before you take a picture with a local (watch out for the Centurians next to the Colosseum in Rome, 20 euros for 1 picture!) Arranging a taxi pickup over the phone will be cheaper than just getting one on the street. You can use most above the ground public transport systems in Eastern Europe without buying a ticket, but always always buy one for metros; you never know when inspections are being done. It's ok if you don't get to see everything, if you need 1 or 2 days to just relax in a hostel it's no problem. Depending on your travel plans should determine if you want/need to buy a EuroRail pass. If you're doing small hops from country to country, the $1,100 unlimited travel ticket may cost the same amount as the $20 and $30 that start to add up. If you are going to be in a place with snow, sneakers are not suitable, it's better to wear something leather or water resistant. The most beautiful women in the world are from Eastern Europe. Any ladies out there want to challenge that?
