About Me

My husband, Joel, and I have back-packed to so many beautiful places in this magnificent world of ours and our list just cannot get shorter! Much more than seeing the breath-taking sights we love to immerse ourselves in the culture. We love meeting locals who live day to day in the world that tourists can only see a glimmer of. And with Joel as a chef and myself as a photographer, knowing these worlds through foods and the eyes of the people are really what makes us yearn to see more each day.

And we hope one day we can share a meal and a story with as many of you as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am in awe of the the joy and connection that this community creates. As travelers, we don't always get a chance to make that connection in all the places we go or even all the people we meet. The fact that this avenue exists solely for the purpose of creating those connections... well, that is why I am proud to be a couch surfer.

Interests

My bucket list is to ultimately see all 7 continents at least once. I also love capturing life through my lens. I have never been more prouder than when i look through old photos and am completely swept away to that time and place. This way hopefully my life can continue to live on even past my time. And hopefully I can also inspire as many as I can along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh dear... I'm afraid my love for these vary as widely as my my favorite country to visit... How do you pick just one?

I guess to give some examples- Jane Eyre, George Orwell, No Doubt, Eminem, Adele, Old School, Pitch Perfect, Godfather 2, Les Miserables, Nicholas Sparks, Malcolm Gladwell, Gladiator, Goonies

(I wasn't kidding when I said it was varied! Hehe)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most life-changing experiences I've had is my walk across Spain on the Camino de Santiago... If you don't know or haven't don't it yet, please go! You will learn the most amazing things about yourself and about others.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always happy to teach English and photography. I would love to learn to scuba dive. I would love to share a meal with a friend i meet in 1 part of the world in another.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My specialty is photography, but my husband's talents are far more enticing. He would love to share some cooking tips and lessons with any potential hosts who would be willing to take us in!
