Hey guys! I'm Rachel from Brittany in France.

I love travelling. I've been on the road for 3 years around the world and came back to France in summer 2024. Then, I worked for an organisation as a social worker in a shelter for refugees in Normandy.
I finished my job in summer 2025. Now, I'm back home in Brittany to spend some times with my family. Still on the road sometimes to visit friends in France or nearby and I continue to travel around.

Before travelling, I worked for an organization in Metz, France as a coordinator of european volunteers. I studied sociology in Toulouse and loved it! I've been to Morocco (for 10 months) and Moldova (for a year) as a volunteer before my degree.

I like meeting people while travelling to know better the culture and understand the history of the country and more. I mostly lived in shared flats. I used to live in a house with 10 people in Metz, I like to share some times with people and also respect the personal space of each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a good way to share with others, visit some places through locals eyes, enjoy meals or drinks together while getting to know each other.

Interests

I love hearing about people's stories and learning from them.
I like to hike and explore nature and places. I love the sea, sunsets/sunrises. I love dogs.
I like to party and I also like to have time for myself.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to read books, mostly about psychology, sociology, feminism.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to Chernobyl and this was intense.

In Ecuador, I got the chance and pushed myself to climb summits up to 5897m of altitude and that was such an experience!
