I'm 25, currently living in Halifax NS, originally from Yorkshire in the UK. Since going to Scotland for university, I have moved about a bit - I love getting to know new cities and meeting new people. Since finishing my degree I've mainly done office work (a brief stint as security at the Calgary Stampede was certainly an interesting experience), but my hobbies are mainly artsy. I love music, movies, books and theatre.

When I was living in France a few years ago, one of my housemates took me along to a CS event. Everyone there was so lovely that I've continued going to events since then! This year I finally braved Couchsurfing itself and had some wonderful experiences. I love that you can meet people in cities where you otherwise wouldn't know anyone, and I have found it to be such a positive community. I'm so happy I discovered it.
