Hey there! My name is Rachel and I'm 20 years old currently living in Brisbane, Australia.

I've got a burning desire to experience anything and everything I can in my lifetime and grab as many opportunities as possible - and I think the best way to do so is to travel and meet new people! I'm always looking to have a fun time, share a laugh and a few beers. I am very open-minded and look forward to experiencing first hand what it is to live like a local in every place I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couchsurfing so still trying to get my head around it all. In February 2017 I will be going to Hawaii with a friend for about 2 weeks. We are looking for a fun, adventurous host to stay with in Honolulu for a few days then we will head to Maui and possibly Kauai, before ultimately heading back to Oahu to catch our flight home.

This trip is a celebratory trip for my 21st birthday so I really want to make this special. I'm super keen to experience the beauty of Hawaii in all its shapes and forms, through hiking, snorkelling, surfing (I will try my best) and meeting new people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Something that I have been wanting to do in forever.. I just did yesterday! SKYDIVING! Such a surreal experience, a sensory overload. You have no idea what is up or what is down. Possibly the physical feeling of what it is to fall in love haha.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Most of my travelling has been around Asia due to the proximity to Australia and my ethnic background - I'm Filipino! I was born and raised in Australia though, so I'm more than happy to give you an insight into Asian/Australian culture and if you're lucky, teach you some slang.
