About Me

I'm on my second year of solo travel, have deferred my university course again and have moved to Vienna. I am currently working on a refugee camp in Greece running a women's self care space, in a children's library, teaching adults English and filling the gaps. I just finished working in film and photography at a surf camp in Morocco. I started my travels volunteering with HIV/AIDS children in Nepal then made my way through India where I practiced yoga. I'm a photographer and travel writer and I'm always thirsty for knowledge and experience. I would consider myself a Japanese food enthusiast.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting new people and having a "local" experience so it's pretty much my idea of the best way to travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan or James Cameron, also have been partial to Gaspar Noe and Sofia Coppola. Favourite film is "It's Such a Beautiful Day" by Don Hertzfeldt. Most recent novels I've read are Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari, the Buddha of Suburbia by Hanif Kuneishi, the Shell Collector by Anthony Doerr and the Book of Questions by Pablo Neruda. I listen to a lot of different music. Since coming from Italy I have been listening to a lot of older Italian music by artists like Mina, but at the moment I am loving King Krule, Billie Holiday and the Glass Animals.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went paragliding in the Himalayas on my 18th birthday just after starting my solo travel! Many more I can tell you about.

Teach, Learn, Share

The art of mini zen gardens, drawing, writing, film, art history, theatre, opera, music, anything water related.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Two years of hospitality (I've learnt my manners) and a lifetime of photography experience, my cooking, hopefully a lot of fun and interesting stories, my passions for music and art history. I'm very into literature and perform as a spoken word poet and write for magazines.
