Hello! I'm a certified Elementary education teacher and right now I have a full-time job in Taiwan as an English Teacher. I spent half of a semester student teaching in 4th and 5th grade in Minnesota and then I student taught English in Ourense, Spain. Because of my experience in Spain, I was inspired to get my TEFL certification to go and teach abroad in Asia! Teaching here in Taiwan is great! I love to explore nearby temples, mountains, various night markets and I'm ready to see everything else in between. I would also love to go explore Singapore and Indonesia in the near future!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

While I am in Taiwan I want to travel to nearby countries to explore and learn more about Asia. I'd rather stay with locals and/or other tourists than stay in a hotel. I love the stories and the advice that Couchsurfers can offer to one another. I think my best memories from Europe are from when I was with a host couchsurfer or when we were getting a tour from a local.

I'm still new to Couchsurfing and would love to experience different cultures with the local people. Because of my experience in Europe, I have definitely caught the travel bug!

I'm unable to Host people as I am sub-leasing my room from a Taiwanese woman and she doesn't want guests overnight. :(
