About Me

Hi! I am a tall giraffe who likes to have conversations with others and learn about others' stories and cultures. AKA I would probably ask you: How was your childhood like? What kinda music makes you wanna groove?
And the list goes on... :D

I also like to hang with myself to recharge. I like laughter and humor and silly things.

On a serious note, I study Chemical Engineering which although is not my calling was a stressful adventure where I learned the futility of trying to be someone else. A part of my soul died, but I am working to restore myself again.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To learn about others' stories, share my own, and get a feel for the local culture! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

TV Series: MASTER OF NONE
Movies: Call Me By Your Name, The Notebook, Hidden Figures, Black Panther
Music:
D'Angelo, Trey Songz, Miguel, Musiq Soulchild, Slakah the Beatchild, and all things R&B for their sensuality (:
J. Balvin - recently started listening to him, admire his commitment to singing in Spanish and staying in Medellin
Justin Timberlake - what a dapper man (been listening to the Justified album on rewind)
Blu & Exile and Binary Starr - for their wordplay, smooth melodies, and meaningful rap
Amy Winehouse - she's inexplicable
Jay Chou, Wu Yue Tian, Khalil Fong, David Tao - to connect with my Chinese roots, although these singers are more contemporary

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made an entire class ripple with laughter because my personality box, a box I covered with pictures of things I like, contained pictures of things related to POOP and I was entirely oblivious of that.

I am still proud of this though :)
