I am a first-year Ph.D. student in Romance Linguistics from California. Apart from languages and linguistics, I enjoy reading both fiction and (outside of my field) nonfiction, watching every TV series I can get my hands on, and exploring new places.

Je viens de la Californie et je suis en première année du doctorat en linguistique romane. À part les langues et la linguistique, j'aime bien lire les romans de fiction et les ouvrages non-romanesques, regarder toutes les séries que je trouve sur Netflix et explorer de nouveaux endroits. (Et au fait, ça fait plus d'un an que j'ai pas eu l'occasion de parler français avec des personnes francophones, donc si possible je voudrais rencontrer quelqu'un avec qui je peux pratiquer!)

Vengo dalla California e sono dottoranda (nel primo anno) in linguistica romanza. A parte le lingue e la linguistica, mi piace leggere i romanzi ma anche i libri saggistici, guardare tutte le serie che trovo su Netflix ed esplorare dei nuovi luoghi! (E sto ancora imparando a parlare italiano, quindi cerco dei nuovi amici con cui posso praticare!)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Finishing up my first year of graduate school, I am heading to Italy for a summer-long intensive course in Italian and am hoping to catch as much of Europe as I can while I'm there!

J'arrive en France (à Marseille) le 28 juillet et puis j'irai à Lyon et puis à Paris et donc si vous avez des conseils touristiques ou bien si vous voulez se rencontrer, écrivez-moi!

Recent favorites include Sarah Bakewell's At the Existentialist Café, Black Panther (Marvel), BBC's The Last Kingdom and the works of Marie NDiaye (which I'm slowly working my way through). Forever favorites include Parks &Recreation, The Office, Law and Order: SVU, and my ultimate guilty pleasure show, Grey's Anatomy. My most recent favorite TV show is The Good Fight.
