About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Earn my PhD and travel as much as possible.
ABOUT ME
I've recently moved to New Zealand to pursue my PhD in zoology looking at local fish and helping conservation efforts. I absolutely love animals, being outdoors, and travelling.
PHILOSOPHY
Kill them with kindness. You'll only get back from other's what you put in, so always try to be positive.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a bit new to couch surfing, so I'd like to get a feel for it before I offer my couch to others (I also need to convince the roommates).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only stayed at one other couchsurfer's place, which was ok, but my friends love it, so I'm gving it another chance.

Jumped off a 5 story high waterfall.
Teach, Learn, Share
Hmm, let's see...did you know that most mammals have milks that are low in iron to prevent bacterial growth? However, it's been recently found that certain mammals have high iron levels in their milk in order in provide the neonate with enough iron for their rapid growth in lean mass, as well as the necessary increase in hemoglobin for oxygen stores (this is especially important for diving mammals who need to hold their breath for long periods of time).
Oh, and that seals will almost completely compress their lungs when they dive to certain depths in order to prevent 'the bends,' and have giant venous stores of blood that serves as an oxygen sink when submerged.
And for me...I think I'd like to learn how to change my own oil. Among a million other things.
