About Me

I'm a 20 year old college student studying environmental engineering at the University of Vermont in Burlington. I grew up in Connecticut but consider the green mountains my home now. I love to snowboard and hike any chance I get! I'll be studying abroad at the University of Western Australia in Perth this spring and will be backpacking and camping through New Zealand for a month beforehand with my friend Tia. I'm really excited for the new experiences to come and for new people I'll meet along the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard great things from friends about using this app! I think it's a great way to meet new people who know the area well (which makes them great for trip advice!) and to find affordable housing while traveling. While in New Zealand, I'll be backpacking with a tent so even if a couch is unavailable, a relatively flat place/yard to set up for a night would be incredible!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Soul, Folk, Classic Rock, and Reggae
Artists like Son Little, Houndmouth, the Eagles, Trevor Hall, and many more!
Movies: Almost Famous, Groundhog Day, The Truman Show, A Beautiful Mind, Inception
Books: Into the Wild by John Krakauer, honestly I don't read books too much but I love reading National Geographic

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friend Tia and I went on a 3500 mile road trip from Vermont all the way to Arkansas! We hit four national parks along the way and got to stop in Nashville and Memphis, Tennessee. The BBQ was fantastic and the blue ridge mountains and smokey mountains were truly incredible.
