ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Rachel. Currently I live in Denver, CO. As a child growing up in the military we traveled all over the world and lived in Japan for a few years.

Exploring, traveling and experiencing is what makes me feel connected and grounded.

I've traveled some to Africa, England, Scotland, Canada, Ukraine, Austria, France, Korea, Philippines, Japan and Mexico but it's been several years since my last trip and I'm eager to go out and meet new people and cultures unlike my own.

Colorado suits my soul and I have finally found a place to call "home". Even if I don't stay here, it will always feel like a home.

In March 2008 I shaved my head to raise money for pediatric oncology. Totally worth it and turned out to be the most interesting social experiment.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing was just introduced to me in January 2010 when I was telling a friend about an upcoming trip to Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Germany that I'm going on this summer.

None as of Jan 2010, as I was just introduced to the CS project.

Music: A fan of most although I could never play music trivia as I never know names of bands or artist. I have two left feet so I don't dance well but I try. Just signed up for swing dancing lessons.

Movies: Not a fan of horror

Just one? I suppose it was when I climbed Mt. Fuji at the age of 12. With every adventure that I am on I am reminded of the strength needed to get to the top of that mountain on that trip.
