About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My mission in life is to help make the world a better place, in whatever small (or big!) way I can.

ABOUT ME

Sometimes quiet, sometimes outgoing. Caring, compassionate. Quirky. And short!!!

I seem to be both an introvert and extrovert. Not sure if one is more dominant over the other - both sides come out at different times.

I'm a complex human being, as I'm sure you are too. There's a lot beneath the surface (aside from organs, blood and tissue). ;)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we're here to learn, about ourselves and about each other. Hopefully we can learn how to live in peaceful co-existence with love and respect for both our similarities as well as our differences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

A few years back I hosted some lovely theatre folks from the UK! They're in Winnipeg for the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival. They're not staying thru this website, but as an artist myself who travels somewhat frequently, I appreciate opening up my home to other fellow artists when I can. It's good karma for when I need a place to stay, too!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've barely used CouchSurfing. I've stayed at one person's place overnight while on a road trip on my way from Winnipeg to Las Vegas a few years ago.

Interests

I write, direct, perform and produce of plays and independent theatre. I'd like to progress more into film. I'm considering going back to school to study cosmology and particle/quantum physics.

I've been vegan for more than 15 years and sharing and eating plant-based food. I'm also passionate about personal growth and development.

I've also been known to be a ST:TNG, Babylon 5, and Battlestar Galactica geek (although I haven't re-watched the latter two in far too long)!

Music, Movies, and Books

There are so many to list!

Musicians I've enjoyed: Amanda Palmer, Yann Tiersen, Julie Doiron, Muse, Imogen Heap, Depeche Mode, Erasure, Zoe Keating, Philip Glass, Miles Davis, and so many more.

Films I've enjoyed: Interstellar, Inception, The Arrival, Amelie, The Matrix, Fight Club, American Beauty, Good Will Hunting, Contact, The 5th Element, Star Trek, and sooo many more!

Books: I tend to read non-fiction personal growth books. I'm currently reading "The Art of Asking" by Amanda Palmer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been skydiving! :)

I've also been writing, producing, and performing my own solo work as an independent theatre artist since 2003.
