About Me

Hello!
I'm really easy going, chilled and happy to go with the flow.
Because of my inquisitive nature and love of travel, I have trained as a journalist - not the weird hacking type I swear, just a happy travel journalist!
Having said that, I often act quite dipsy and love a good laugh, especially at my own expense.
I am super chatty and generally love meeting new groups of people but I am also respectful of quiet people and appreciate peace and meditation as a part of people’s daily routine.
I'm a big fan of musicals and all things music related so would love to meet other musicians and people to share festival experiences with :)
Other than that, I'm all about just seeing and sharing new things with others and seeing the world!

P.S. I'm super forgetful, so please don't be offended if something you tell me totally slips my mind!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travelled around the Balkans for three months and had the best hospitality ever through CS.
I would love to offer the same to someone even if it's just taking them for a drink around the city!

Interests

ALL THINGS MUSICAL... and music related.
My baby ukulele - which I'm taking with me all over the world.
Love travelling, meeting new people.
A good book keeps me entertained, as does good TV! (I'm all over Orange is the New Black right now and did you see Making a Murderer?!)
The environment - I’m a strong believer in if you look after the world, the world will look after you.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a total eclectic when it comes to music - everything from The Beatles and The Who to Eminem and Snoop. Love a bit of hippy and folk music and have been to several weird festivals to which I have some great stories to share.
I'm much the same with films although my favourite types are independent movies, musicals and horror films - I am absolutely terrified of zombies - it could happen!
My favourite books are classics such as Wuthering Heights, Gatsby and Brideshead Revisited - anything by Thomas Hardy is a must too!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've managed to climb a mountain with trench foot and possible hypothermia because I'm an absolute trooper - don't worry though, I'm trench foot free now!

I've also sung for the Queen and met Noel Edmunds - both Royalty in my opinion.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm keen to learn whatever you can give me. At the moment I’m trying to learn how to relax and meditate so anyone who can help, I would LOVE to meet.
I’m also a keen linguist so really love to learn other languages.

As for teaching, I can teach you singing, basic ukulele as well as all the words to the fast bit of Eminem's 'Rap God' - it's not easy.
More seriously, I have lots of digital media and activism/campaign skills - video editing, photography, social media campaigns and graphic design which I’m happy to share for budding entrepreneurs and artists!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share terrible jokes, herbal remedies for basically any normal and abnormal illness, and a deck of cards for a game of 'spoons'. I also have plenty of digital media and campaigning skills that I’m more than happy to share to budding entrepreneurs and activists.
